Program

Seedlings @ Whitehorse Kindergarten provides a broad play-based learning environment that offers the children a balance of academic, artistic and practical experiences. Staff members are dedicated to educating the whole child by creating and supporting a genuine love of learning within each child.  By freely using arts and activities to encourage academic learning, the children gain an internal motivation to learn which results in independent, capable and self-directed students.

The Kindergarten program is enhanced by the opportunity to use the school’s facilities. The children have regular access to the library, Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden and gymnasium.

Incursions and excursions also form a valuable part of the curriculum. Recent events have included trips to the Melbourne Zoo and Kew Traffic School, a visit from David the Music Man, and water safety and responsible pet ownership sessions.
